How do I keep my hands beautiful? My daily hand care routine

Hands do million activities throughout a day. Although they are accustomed to work, the skin that stretches on hands is really delicate and requires being exposed the right type of care. Daily hand care routine must respect the natural processes of ageing, which skin starts coming under after turning 30. What hand cream to choose? How to smooth hand skin out and prevent aging?

What hand cream to choose?

Rough and dry hands need a cream containing urea, glycerin and sorbitol that bonds water on the hand’s surface. Preparations with vitamin E, retinol, hyaluronic acid and collagen reinforce skin and have an anti-ageing effect. When it comes to panthenol, lanolin and calcium, these substances soothe irritations and aid in curing atopic dermatitis and other similar skin conditions.

However, hand cream alone is too little. Light and moisturizing one is essential during the summer, whereas a rich and protective one shall be found irreplaceable in the winter.

How to smooth our hand skin?

In order to highlight and smooth hands out I apply a salt scrub once a week. I combine a spoon of salt with a spoon of olive oil. Then I rub my homemade hand scrub into my hand skin until the salt melts. After that, I wash the hands and rub them with a lemon juice mixed with water (1:1 proportions). At the end, I towel dry my hands and follow with a moisturizer. In my opinion, salt hand scrub is highly effective because salt is responsible for smoothing out and improving skin suppleness. When it comes to fruity acids that the lemon juice offers, it highlights all skin discolorations.

How to prevent hands from ageing?

The palm of the hand has thicker skin and features many ceptors. The dorsal side in turn has really a thin skin layer, is delicate and almost completely deprived of subcutaneous tissue. If hands weren’t built this way, it neither would be able for us to crook the fingers nor make precise movements with hands. The almost absent subcutaneous tissue – which is mainly built from a fatty tissue – is responsible for accelerated ageing of hands. As I’ve mentioned it earlier, the first signs of aging become visible when we are around 30. Although this is a completely natural process, we can delay it. To do so, reach for creams that provide protection and moisture.

How do I take care of my hands?

Firstly, before I start doing housework, or before I apply scrub to my hands, I always apply a nail conditioner first. Then I reach for a rich cream and rub it into the skin. Basically, I should recommend you a bio-glove cream because it’s able to create a kind of an insensible protective film that blocks impurities and other harmful agents from reaching skin. It starts working within 2 minutes since being distributed on hands. Then, I’d put on latex gloves but since I’m allergic to latex, I put on rubber gloves with an extra cotton layer inside.

Now I start cleaning up the house 🙂 What do I do once I finish? I wash my hands but not in hot water that dehydrates epidermis – its temperature shouldn’t exceed 20 degrees Celsius. Next, I dry the hands by pressing a towel to the skin – I don’t rub it. You shouldn’t skip the between-fingers skin. Finally, follow with a hand and nail cream.
