You surely know that make-up and care trends appear every year. Some stay with us for longer because it turns out that they are the perfect simple and effective solution. Others take over Instagram for a while and then disappear as fast as they appeared.
Where do they come from? Trends are usually set up by bloggers and make-up artists. They sometimes come from fashion runways and become part of our daily life. It also happens that some trends were just a joke that we mistakenly took for a new trend.
My article will discuss all beauty trends worth mentioning and I will assess them in a very simple way, whether they are hot or not.

1. Fishtail brows
The brows that look like fishtails? This make-up trend made a lot of noise in the social media world – some loved it, others took it as a joke. They were right because at first ‘fishtail brows’ were meant as a joke and the author of it has never assumed that it can become popular. The fishtail effect can be achieved with an eyebrow pencil and concealer, but (attention please) it is not that simple. Is it even worth it?

2. Heart-shaped blusher on the cheeks
The Internet went nuts for a few months over this blusher application. It’s about the cute hearts made with a blusher that Asian women started to create on their cheeks. The effect is simple to achieve – you have to draw a heart on the cheek using a pink pencil then fill it with blusher and blend the outline. The heart can be also made in the form of negative where on the blusher is not covered with product heart. What do I think about it?

3. Hair jewelry
The moment summer festivals became a thing, we started to pay more attention to how we decorate the hair. Hair jewelry came to life, such as earrings, necklaces, sequins, and beads to decorate, for example, braids. Obviously, it is a beauty trend that requires a bit of time and skill because adding the decorations in hair is not easy. But, is it worth it?
My opinion: definitely HOT
4. Garden eyebrows
Another trend focused on eyebrows that I’d like to talk about is ‘garden eyebrows’ – the eyebrows that supposed to resemble flower gardens. It is an effect achieved by adding small flowers, leaves or petals to natural brows. It is a true return to nature and a botanical connection that can be trendy. The most beautiful effect is with white gypsophila not only in the brows but also in creating a crown in the hair. Do I like it?

5. Unusual lips color
Black, violet, green or even yellow. Who said that lips always have to be red, pink or nude? This trend in make-up is obviously taking over the runways or photoshoots but there happen to also be the bold people who wear colorful lips on a daily basis. Is well-chosen colorful lipstick with neutral make-up a good idea?

6. Rainbow freckles
Another festival make-up idea that allows all of us to have freckles, even more in a colorful version. ‘Rainbow freckles’ is one of Instagram born trends – it can be done with colored pencils or with special stickers. Are rainbow freckles something for me?

7. Tears makeup
The make-up that is supposed to imitate tears dropping from the eyes. It is a skill trial for every make-up artist. It is also a trend highly popular among girls who are just starting their adventure and want to stand out somehow. Glitter, colorful, beautifully created tears under eyes are a true showcase of artistic abilities. Sadly ‘tears makeup’ looks better in the pictures than it does in real life. What do I think?
