You will probably agree with me when I say that nowadays eyebrows are the most important element of make-up. You can skip lipstick, contouring or eyeshadow, but lack of eyebrow make-up is a huge beauty crime.
That is why I come to your rescue with my manual on how to create the most natural eyebrow make-up. My remedy for all the perfectly outlined and fake-looking eyebrows are ombre eyebrows. It is all about blurring them so that the effect was as natural as possible while being the most beautiful.
Natural eyebrows make-up, which is…
Take a look at your natural eyebrows. Do they have rough edges? Are they equally full and have the same color the entire length? Or maybe there are different shades, thickness and length of the hairs depending on the area?
Exactly, our natural eyebrows aren’t perfect – they have different color shades, darker or brighter, they are not perfectly straight. That is what we have to strive for in make-up if we want the effect to be the most natural.
Ombre eyebrow. What are those?
Definitely the most natural effect is ombre eyebrow make-up. It is creating make-up where color is not plain on the entire length. This form of blurring eyebrows make-up gives the most natural effect that makes your make-up look good and does not appear as overwhelming.
Ombre eyebrows dominate in daily make-up because they match every face shape and type of make-up. The upside is that you can do it with any type of cosmetic pencil, shadow or pomade.
You just need to know how to take care of your brows to achieve the ombre effect. No quick smear or drawing a few lines with a pencil will make the effect natural – the ombre eyebrows make-up take a bit more time and skill. I talk all about it below.
Manual to achieve ombre eyebrows step by step
It is time for some instructions step by step. Do you not know how to create ombre eyebrows styled make-up? Don’t worry, I come to your rescue. Here’s my method for fast and effective eyebrows make-up that will make you look natural.
STEP 1.
First, you need to prepare eyebrows for the make-up. How? I usually start by applying some powder to the brows before proceeding with make-up. Thanks to it, the cosmetics stick better to the skin and set between the hairs. It gives a more long-lasting effect.
STEP 2.
It is time to set the lower (more important!) line. I comb the brows upwards and draw a strong line following the natural eyebrows line or a bit lower. It is about providing brows with a shape so the line doesn’t need to be thick but should also have an expressive tip.
Important: there is no need to outline the upper eyebrow line nor its beginning because in ombre the effect needs to be blurred and natural.
STEP 3.
Now it is time to fill in the brows with quick movements towards the direction hairs grow. You need to do it like you want to draw the missing brows. The point is that the lower line is the most important. The closer you get to the upper part of the eyebrows the less pressure you need to make or use a less product.
STEP 4.
With a brow comb, I comb out the eyebrows so the remaining product (the one that set on top of the hairs) would disappear and spread all over the eyebrow. Obviously, we go from the inner part outside.
STEP 5.
To deepen the ombre effect you may want to powder the eyebrows with bright eyeshadow or powder. The spot where the brow begins shouldn’t be outlined too strong so blurring it will make better ombre effect that we strive for.
